"Expectation is the death of art"
new thom yorke stuff is good.
i especially like the hollow earth
i was listening to it a bunch and i realized how strange of an ego he must have to write a song like that, where he samples his own voice. i mean, there's knowing you have a message you're devoted to and making a song, but it takes a different kind of thought process and self-awareness to chop your vocal track down to individual moans, hums, notes, etc and construct a good chunk of a track out of it. and i mean good on many levels. it is a pretty amazing song, imo. pulled apart by horses was also good but it was more in the vein of twisted words, which we had just heard. the hollow earth is more like some of the stuff on the eraser which hadn't been really expanded upon. it's comforting to realize that they will never completely abandon a style of music for another style.
