I'm not really the biggest 808s fan, I rarely listen to anything off of it, let alone the whole album. And I've never been that into Kid Cudi, for that matter. But like almost any Kanye song there's always a mood you can be in where something like this becomes totally addictive. Kanye has this sort of thing where he addresses problems that only someone in his position could have, which are really unique and interesting, but he presents them with a sort of emotional relevance where it can resonate with you no matter your position. You can approach it on all sorts of levels of intellectual abstraction, maybe simultaneously. The actual point is that this song is very sad, about a very sad feeling of being overwhelmed with too many conflicting feelings, and it is very well done.

Song of the Day #8: Kanye West - Welcome to Heartbreak (ft. Kid Cudi)
And my head keeps spinning...
